The reason that we are cross breeding these breeds has to do with the personality traits of the different breeds. The Yorkie has the most friendly temperment of all the terriers, and we are crossing the other breeds with the Yorkies to give the next generation of puppies an improved and less aggressive character.
Crossbreeding is also a healthy way to keep the genetic weaknesses from increasing in any breed that is endlessly bred within its own gene pool. This is referred to as inbreeding and is well known to be one of the causes of weak immune systems and behavior neurosis in excessively inbred purebreds.

These toy cross puppies are actually recognized as a breed now and they are one of the most popular of the Maltese crosses because they have very loving personalities and gorgeous, striking coats of many colours; grey, white, tan, black and honey. The Morkie or Yorktese has the personality traits of both the Maltese and the Yorkie. They are brave, smart, cheeky, energetic like the Yorkie, but they are also loving and mellow like the Maltese. They are easy to train, but house training must be done properly to achieve housebreaking.
The Morkie is recommended for families with children who are OLDER than 10. Younger kids can accidentally cause an injury to any small dog.

The Yo-Chon is a real cutie pie puppy; they are happy, playful and very charming & socially friendly. They are energetic, but are much more mellow than most terriers. Training works well, though this breed can be stubborn; food rewards are the training tool that works best.
The Yorkie-Chon is a non-shedding dog that also has an allergen free coat. They have lovely wheat and white curly coats and happy little faces.

These are great little crosses, very energetic, very brave and loyal with the Westie ferocity and the Yorkie playfulness. The Fourche terrier is a very playful, easily trained and playful dog. Their coats can be medium to long with white, grey, tan and honey in the mix. They need lots of activity and walking just like both of their parents.
